EA Football Camp with Self-Help Groups 2023

The EA, in partnership with its fellow Self-Help Groups (SHGs); Chinese Development Assistance Council (CDAC), Yayasan MENDAKI (MENDAKI), and the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA), held a football camp for 7 to 12-year-old children at the Jalan Besar Stadium – the ‘Home of Singapore Football’ – over three days from 19 to 21 June, ending with a finale tournament on the third day.

Guest-of-Honour, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development, Eric Chua, launched the event on 19 June. He was joined by EA President Sandra Theseira, CDAC Executive Director Tan Yap Kin, SINDA CEO Anbarasu Rajendran, MENDAKI CEO Mdm Zuraidah Abdullah, Sport Singapore Deputy CEO Toh Boon Yi and Singapore Pools Senior Director of Community Partnerships and Communications Chin Sau Ho.

The EA is grateful to sponsors Singapore Pools, and Sport Singapore and ActiveSG Football Academy who supported with the venue and coaches. The camp aimed to bring children from different races and backgrounds together and celebrate unity through sport.
