The EA was privileged to host President Halimah Yacob to tea at the Eurasian Community House (ECH) on 30 August.

President Halimah is no stranger to the Eurasian community. She visited the ECH in March 2018, and officially launched the upgraded Eurasian Heritage Gallery in September 2019 during the EA's centennial celebrations, which has grown from a small room in 2003 to three galleries today.

Funds from the President's Challenge have been channelled toward meaningful initiatives in EA's Family Support Services and Education - from sprucing up the homes of low-income Eurasian families living in one and two-room rental flats, to providing vital education aid to those who face financial constraints.

The EA is grateful to President Halimah for her support of the EA throughout her tenure.

EA President Sandra Theseira and MC members invited Minister for Manpower, and Second Minister for Trade and Industry Dr Tan See Leng, who is also MP of Marine Parade where the Eurasian Community House is located, to a new year lunch on 4 January. Members shared details on the EA's work and explored possible collaborations.
